I was very happy with my stay at The Old Vicarage Bed & Breakfast. The Hosts were lovely. I was particularly blown away by the cleanliness of the accommodation, immaculate! Great place to stay.

What more can I say than this is a fantastic B&B , both Sandi and Bryan who are the proprietors of the old vicarage should be proud of their establishment in all aspects of the trade , this B&B deserves a 5 star rating.Having been around the world in the Armed Forces and having tried a vast number of establishments this one beats all others hands down.It is definitely somewhere that I would recommend to anyone looking for a 5 star experience on a competitive budget.Than you once again Sandi and Bryan for making my stay more than enjoyable.

We stayed three nights and we were looked after from start to finish. Sandi and Brian are so welcoming and friendly and nothing is to much trouble.

We loved our stay at the Old Vicarage B and B, this was our second visit. It's a beautiful venue,clean, comfortable and well organised in a central location with off-road parking great for the main bus /train stations.Sandi and Bryan are excellent hosts, they are always happy to help, going above and beyond and the daily afternoon cakes are a welcome treat. We would recommend the Old Vicarage B and B to anyone who wants a fantastic place to stay when in Barnstaple.

Spotlessly clean throughout. Very welcoming by its owners. A beautiful building, inside and out. Spacious and most cheerful bedroom and so beautifully quiet. A real home from home. A most delightful place in every respect.

The old vicarage was highly recommended to us, so we booked three nights and was not disappointed. Really beautiful setting lovely Comfortable rooms and very friendly host. We had large potionsof cooked breakfast. also a good Selection . We also had fresh milk in a flask and a cake waiting for us after a lovely day out. The house is beautifully decorated but also very homely. Can highly recommend the old vicarage, I will definitely be going back.

Could not fault anything - fresh laid eggs and home made cake every day - life doesn’t get better than that.Would recommend The Old Vicarage over a hotel any day.

We stayed at The Old Vicarage on Friday 24Th January for my Birthday, we were given Room 1 which was a large bedroom and it was decorated very tastefully, attention to detail which I Love, the bedding was just so pretty and comfortable, the Bathroom was also large with a lovely bath and walk-in shower, again very tastefully decorated and very clean.Breakfast was very enjoyable,we would definately stay again when visiting Barnstaple.

This is the best accommodation we've stayed in, in the U.K. Beautiful building & garden. Spacious room with all thought gone into providing what a guest needs. Bed & bedding felt luxurious. Fabulous bathroom. Wish we'd had more time to really enjoy the place. The cooked breakfasts looked good although we only had toast as had eaten plenty the night before with family! Hosts were lovely - complete professionals yet warm & welcoming too. As I say, wish we'd had more leisurely time to enjoy the place. Location is great as it feels secluded but is also only a short walk to town. We'd definitely go again.

We stayed for 4 nights as we were going to a wedding locally.This is the BEST BandB we have stayed at- the room felt like it had been freshly decorated- it was immaculately clean.The towels were fluffy and smelt Devine - which added to the ambience in the amazing bathroom- a piece of luxury.The room (room 1) was spacious and very comfortable with gorgeous wall art throughout.The breakfasts were delicious - most yummy poached egg and muffin - fresh and tastyTreated to cake in the afternoon - such a kind gesture and homemade too!Top notch - both Sandi and Bryan were lovely hosts!

Well placed for town centre but very quiet. A well deserved five stars.

The Old Vicarage is an entirely delightful place to stay. Brian and Sandi are charming hosts and their home is stylishly decorated and equipped yet cosy and comfortable. Sheer perfection!

From the moment Brian met us at the door andwe stepped inside the door of the Old Vicarage we felt like we were in the most amazing building. It is beautifully restored and decorated and just so very clean. Our room was the dream bedroom with gorgeous ensuite complete huge free standing bath with shower gels and lotions. Located so close to main street.

This was a perfect stay in all ways and well located for walking a large section of the SWCP. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Freshly baked delicious cake greeted us each afternoon on return and fresh milk for hot drinks was a nice touch indicative of the attention to detail in this B&B. Hosts couldn't have been more attentive and helpful. Everything of a high quality.....what else can I say, faultless and thank you.I would not hesitate to recommend a stay here.

This is a really special B&B - everything is just spot on. The location is perfect - central yet tucked away in a quiet back street with an amazing garden. The rooms are spotless with every need catered for and the breakfasts delicious and delivered on time and with great service. The hosts are friendly and helpful. I cannot sing both their and the establishments praises highly enough.

Lovely setting of the house-an oasis near the town centre. Room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. Bryan & Sandi were very helpful. Will certainly try ot visit again when next in North Devon

Have stayed here twice now. It was lovely, clean and welcoming. The place to stay if you ever want to stay in Barnstaple for a couple of nights. Quite close to town centre and to a quiet park. Also not far away to Barnstaple Railway Station where you can hire a bicycle to cycle the Tarka Trail to Bideford. Rooms are extremely comfy and relaxing.

Absolutely lovely - can't fault anything! From the delicious cake and fresh milk when I arrived, to the warm, comfy bed and acrumptious breakfast - just right. Thanks for the warm welcome and locking my bicycle up safe too. I'd definitely recommend The Old Vicarage.

We very much enjoyed a 4 night stay here.Sandi & Bryan are lovely attentive hosts- Sandi bakes fab cakes- most welcome in the afternoon.It is ideally situated for the bus station and therefore excellent for links to the South West Coast Path.Our room was very comfortable, great shower and comfy bed- we will try to return for our next walking holiday.

We have just spent 5 superb days at this wonderful B&B - an absolute gem close to the centre of Barnstaple but in a secluded and quite setting. Bryan and Sandi are the perfect hosts, Bryan with his local knowledge and Sandi providing superb breakfast and cakes! The accommodation certainly deserves 5 stars.

I stayed for two nights in the single room. Room was really lovely as was the daily issue of cake!! Easy to walk around town from this location and the parking facilities are excellent. I will definitely be coming back.

We had a very pleasant stay at this Bed and Breakfast. The rooms were very lovely and spacious. The breakfast was delicious.

Lovely bed and breakfast with amazing rooms, so clean and tidy and the homemade cake was delicious and always a lovely surprise to come back to each day. Breakfast was lovely and my two children were very happy with the choices (2 and 4 years) my children got plastic bowls, plates, cups and cutlery which was a great idea and ive never had this before. Overall great place to stay and such a warm welcome even when we arrived an hour early. The thing that made me smile alot was the way we came back to my childrens toys arranged on the table and even on our last day arranged in height order, great touch and even made my children smile. Thanks for a great stay.

Beautiful room with gorgeous view and luxury bath, which my daughter enjoyed splashing about in.Lots of little touches, such as cake on arrival, which made us feel right at home.Children are well catered for.Would definitely recommend!

We stayed one Saturday night in August. I was impressed with the speedy and helpful response from the B&B.The room was great, clean, cheerful and a lot of thought gone into making everything comfortable including fresh milk and complimentary cake!Breakfast was very good with a good choice.Definitely go back there if we are in the Barnstaple area.

This single en suite was the best I have had. It was really roomy with a small walk in wardrobe and a comfy armchair with a floor lamp behind it- perfect for reading etc. I have a double bed at home, yet had no problems with this single bed as it is not rammed up against a wall as many are. The ensuite bathroom was superb.. With a beautiful and powerful shower- with simple written instructions! I wish everyone did that. A comfy bed too.Big and spacious inside the vicarage and an easy walk to town.The owners Sandi and Bryan are such a nice couple and really care that you have a comfortable stay, Bryan carried my luggage in and there is plenty of easy parking. I welcomed the big garden to sit in at the end of an outing.Generous well cooked breakfasts.

Thank you for a lovely stay.We only had one night as we were finishing a walking path in Barnstaple, but The Old Vicarage was the perfect place to stay. Wonderful hosts, excellent facilities and so close to the town centre for restaurants. Would highly recommend as a place to stay.

Gil and I travelled down to a wedding and wanted to find somewhere a little different to a hotel, but as comfortable and with spacious rooms.The Old Vicarage provided just that.It was incredibly clean and the breakfast was more than we had hoped.Bryan and Sandi are the kind of hosts we like, interested but not intrusive.And of course - the cakes!A delicious and different one every day.If we are ever down this way again, there is only one place to stay - the Old Vicarage.Thank you Bryan and Sandi so much.

Lovely stay with our 2 teenagers, let us check in early so we could get ready for the wedding and great breakfast the following morning. V friendly and welcoming. It was v hot weather so fans in the rooms would’ve been welcomed. However the cake in the room was a lovely touch. Thank you!! We hope to be back!

I love staying at The Old Vicarage, the beds are the best ever, the decor is subtle, stylish and relaxing and I am always made welcome, even to carrying my bags to and from my room.These little touches of courtesy and customer care set this B&B well above average and I haven't even mentioned the freshly homemade cake that appears as if by magic every afternoon.The weather was glorious this time so evenings were spent in the garden with a kindle and a glass of wine.Perfection.

I did stay here for the second time and for good reasons! A beautiful single room with plenty of room and really a very good bed and pillows. Also this time the surprise to get a delicious home made cake on arrrival.Also breakfast perfect and with all care. Thank you againg!
