Do you have parking?

Yes, we have on site parking, a space for each room and one spare space.

Do you take small well-behaved dogs?

Sorry, we don’t take any pets, though interestingly we never get asked if we take large unruly dogs.

Do you have bike storage?

Yes, we have indoor locked storage for bikes.Electric bike batteries can be charged in the garage, we do not allow the batteries to be charged in the house due to the potential fire risk.

What is your cancellation policy?

In a nutshell: If you cancel your booking within 21 days of arrival you are liable to pay the whole amount unless we re-let the room,Please see The Small Print for more details.

What about breakfast?

Breakfast is ordered the night before from a complete list of ingredients; anything from Scramble Eggs and Salmon to a Full English with any combination in between.We have plenty of toast, 6 different cereals, fresh fruit, homemade yoghurt and homemade jam and marmalade.Breakfast is served from 7:20am until 9:10am

How close are the nearest places to eat?

The Old Vicarage is less than 10 minutes walk from the centre of Barnstaple with a good selection of places to eat.We will send you a list the week before your stay.

Is there an iron and ironing board available for guests?

There is an iron and ironing board in every guest room.

Do you have any ground floor rooms?

No sorry, three rooms are on the first floor, with a further two on the second floor. We do not have a lift.  If you have mobility needs, please give us a call to discuss.

Can you provide packed lunches?

Generally, we don’t provide packed lunches as there is a good number of places to purchase them within town.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes.

How far are you from the bus/train station?

The bus station is a 5-minute walk (400m) and the train station a 15 minute walk (1km)

Do you take a deposit?

No, we take card details to secure a booking.The card will only be charged in the event of a no show or late cancellation.Payment is made at the time of your stay either by bank transfer, cash or cheque.

I’m a celiac, have a dairy allergy, am intolerant to down/feathers, am a vegetarian, can you cater for my needs?

Yes, please let us know ahead of your stay.We always have alternative milks in stock along with Gluten free cereals, sausages and bread.Our duvets and pillows are feather and down, but we can easily swap to synesthetic ahead of your arrival.

Do you have maps to borrow?

Yes, and a wealth of local knowledge to share.

What time is check-in and check-out?

We ask guests to check out by 10:30am on the day of departure.We are flexible on check-in but do like to know a few days in advance as there are only the two of us here and we need to make sure one of us is in the greet you.

Do the rooms have tea and coffee making facilities?

Yes, and fresh milk, and daily homemade cake.

Do the rooms have TV?

Yes, with Freeview channels.

Do the rooms have a hairdryer/toiletries/towels?

Yes.

Can we sit in the garden?

Yes.

Do you take children?

Do you have a travel cot/high chair?

Yes, we have both.  We ask guests to bring their own bedding for the travel cot as we have found that this helps the little ones to settle.  Please let us know you need these when making your booking.
