Room 3 is on the first floor, can be made up with a super-king sized bed or twin beds and has an en-suite with a large shower.

These are great when travelling with family, friends or colleagues and can be used in a variety of combinations, including as a standard double or a twin. Suite 4 has a double room and a single room and Suite 5 has a double room and a twin room.
We like all our guests at the Old Vicarage to feel very welcome, and provide many personal touches such as daily fresh milk and homemade cake.
Please be aware that all our rooms are up at-least one flight of stairs with an additional small flight from the front door; if this may be a difficulty please ask when making a booking.
We can cater for a variety of diets and appreciate knowing any special requirements in advance, thank you.
We have private on-site parking.
Spent four nights after seeing the positive reviews and what a great stay we had. Bryan makes you welcome offering to take your case to your room and Sandi’s yummy cakes in the room are a lovely surprise.
Our room or I should say rooms as we where given a suit on the top floor, a twin room leading past a shower room with a great shower that works plus a separate toilet then into a double. Both bedrooms are of a good size with two easy chairs in both rooms, everything is spotless and to a high standard.
Very good breakfast, quiet location, good off street parking but five minutes walk and you are in town.
Plenty of places to eat can have a drink and not have to drive, good bus service and the tarka trail near for walking and cycling. A great B&B in good location
We stayed here for one night during a family get together in Barnstaple. It was amazing! From the first communications, to the welcome, the tea and cake, the lovely bathroom and the comfortable bed… not to mention the amazing cooked breakfast on Sunday morning! We could not fault this wonderful gem, wish we could have stayed longer.
The Old Vicarage is a wonderful building which Sandi and Bryan have personalised in a way that makes it feel that they are welcoming you into their home – not only with the wonderful cakes that Sandi makes each day and the fresh milk for your drinks in the room but with beautiful fresh flowers throughout mixed with wonderful ornaments – many of them knitted toys. The garden is great and I suspect the home made jam supply will grow over coming years. Breakfast was delicious and the advice about what we might like to explore in the area again very personalised. And when I managed to leave something behind they were in touch very quickly to check and then posted it off – a wonderful three days.
My Mum and I stayed in one of the family rooms and it was lovely. Very well decorated and having both a double and single bed was perfect for us. It was large and spacious and we were welcomed with delicious home made cake. We were provided us with a lovely vegetarian breakfast and Bryan was happy to make suggestions about places to visit.
