A real gem – spacious, beautifully decorated bedroom, immaculate en suite, super breakfast and the friendliest welcome. A really nice touch is the little flask of fresh milk for the in room tea/coffee to say nothing of the cake to go with it.
The location is excellent – within easy walking distance of the High Street shops and restaurants -I will certainly stay here again when I next come down to Barnstaple.
My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at The Old Vicarage B&B in April 2015. Our room was spacious, well furnished/decorated, cleaned to a high standard and had a wonderful view of the rear garden and church steeple. Breakfast was excellent, freshly prepared and served in a lovely breakfast room overlooking the rear garden. Sarah’s home made cakes were delicious and a nice touch during our stay. The B&B is within easy walking distance to the city centre and has convenient onsite parking. Would not hesitate to recommend The Old Vicarage B&B as a place to stay.
This was my third – and longest (seven nights) – stay at The Old Vicarage. How I love it there! B & Bs just don’t get any better than the absolutely perfect haven that Sandi and Bryan have created in the very heart of Barnstaple. This time I stayed in the single room, which was lovely, but all the five rooms are equally beautiful. I peeped into Room 1, with its new bathroom, and was amazed at its size and decor!! Room 3 has also just undergone a gorgeous makeover! Be aware that you will come away weighing a few more pounds after all the delicious cakes and plentiful breakfasts!!! I left with great regret and cannot wait to go again!
Stayed for 2 nights in the family suite. We were given a warm welcome on arrival. The family suite is highly recommended, the rooms were clean to a very high standard. Home made cakes were delicious and were a lovely surprise on arrival and on our second day. Breakfast was excellent. Would recommend The Old Vicarage B & B to anyone.
